Jo Middleton, Director of Studies at The ISCP, brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her role. With a robust and diverse background in the educational space, Jo considers herself blessed to have learnt from some of the best in the industry including Sarah Fisher, Trevor Cooper, Sarah Whitehead, Victoria Stilwell, Sally Gutteridge, Dr Nick Thompson, Lisa Tenzin Dolma, Toni Shelbourne and many others. Amongst her more formal qualifications, Jo holds a Diploma in Advanced Canine Communication and a Diploma in Animal Assisted Therapy and is a certified microchip implanter.

Jo's practical experience is extensive. She grew up training and showing Belgian Shepherd Malinois at a high level in both ringcraft and obedience. In her early twenties, Jo realised her real calling was rehabilitating dogs in need to support their successful rehoming. Jo has worked in most roles in a rescue environment including as a Trustee, post homing support, kennel assessments, transport runs, home checks and been a fosterer to hundreds (literally!) of dogs in need.

Beyond her passion for dogs, Jo is also a seasoned entrepreneur, franchisor, investor and motivational speaker. Her multifaceted background enables her to bring a unique perspective to her role, combining her love for animals with her business acumen and dedication to making learning kind, calm and science based dog behaviour and training methods available to all. Jo Middleton's drive and expertise make her a valuable asset to The ISCP and the broader community.
