Accessibility
Here at the ISCP we are aware that some students may need additional help to complete their studies. This document lists the practical assistance we may be able to provide.
Course materials
We can adapt course materials to provide:
-
Large Print
-
Dark Color Fonts (Black and Red)
-
Without Italics
-
Left Justified
-
Buff Color Backgrounds (or Yellow etc) as required
Allow extra time for completion of the course
We may be able to extend course deadlines, where necessary.
Printed course materials
If accessing course materials on a screen is difficult, Lulu.com offers a bespoke printing service. You can have the course materials printed as a hard copy. There are a number of options available and you can choose to print in black and white or in color and in various sizes.
Additional assistance
There are a number of applications and software that you might be able to use to assist you. These are all recommended by Tech Radar:
-
Text to speech
-
Speech to Text
-
For Windows - if you're a Windows 10 user, included on your PC is Microsoft's Speech Recognition feature—nothing additional to install or download. To dictate, open an app such as Word and Google Docs, and on your keyboard, press the Windows logo key + H. A microphone icon and grey box will appear at the top of your screen. Make sure your cursor is in the space where you want to dictate.
If you need to discuss any other adjustments not listed here, please do not hesitate to contact us at secretary@theiscp.com
