Completion leads to the Level 3 Diploma in PAWS™ Dog Rescue Mental Health Support, recognised internationally and valid for three years. Course Overview: This course supports those working in emotionally demanding rescue roles, including rehoming centres, kennels, welfare investigations, foster coordination and vet support. Learners explore core principles of mental health support, how to recognise early signs of distress, and how to respond safely to colleagues in crisis. The course encourages openness, resilience and compassionate workplace culture. Participants learn active listening, suicide-awareness foundations, boundary-setting and sustainable wellbeing practices. On successful completion of all modules and assessments, learners are awarded the L3 Diploma in PAWS™ Dog Rescue Mental Health Support. Career Outcomes: Graduates are equipped to provide informed peer support, contribute to wellbeing initiatives, strengthen team resilience, and promote a supportive, stigma-free environment. This qualification also opens pathways to roles within rescue organisations that focus on staff and volunteer wellbeing, including dedicated Mental Health Support positions.
