ISCP L5 Diploma in Canine Behaviour

Overview

The ISCP Level 5 Diploma in Canine Behaviour is an advanced programme designed for those who wish to develop the knowledge and skills needed to work professionally with complex canine behaviour cases. Through this comprehensive course you will explore the emotional, cognitive and environmental factors that influence behaviour, learning how to assess behavioural concerns and develop thoughtful, welfare-focused strategies to support both dogs and their guardians. The diploma recognises that behaviour cannot be separated from a dog’s emotional state, health, environment and lived experiences. Students are encouraged to think critically about behaviour, welfare and ethics while developing practical approaches to supporting behavioural change. Students receive extensive learning resources, including a detailed course text, the full online learning programme, and a comprehensive collection of supplementary materials created by ISCP founder Lisa Tenzin Dolma. Additional webinars accompany each module, providing further insight into the key behavioural concepts explored throughout the course. The qualification is recognised professional development and is accredited by iPET Network, reflecting the high educational standards of the programme. Professional Community & Progression: Upon enrolment, students are eligible for membership with the International Institute for Canine Ethics (IICE). This provides access to a professional community, ongoing learning opportunities, regular webinars, and the opportunity to follow the IICE 6-Step Pathway towards the ABTC Register. Entry Requirements: As this is an advanced qualification, applicants should have previously completed a Level 4 canine-related programme that is industry recognised and science-based, or be able to demonstrate relevant professional knowledge and practical experience. Study Commitment: Students typically complete the diploma with approximately 200 hours. There is a 2 year time limit.
