Association of Canine Professionals

What is The ACP?

The Association of Canine Professionals, or The ACP, is an accrediting body for ISCP graduates who achieved a Merit or Distinction for their studies. Its purpose is to set and maintain high standards in the application of learning theory and its use in practice during professional work with dogs and their caregivers. ISCP ACP members gain the title of Alumni and can use our Accredited Canine Professional logo.

The ACP is proud to be an organisation member of the UK Dog Behaviour & Training Charter.

Who are the ISCP Alumni?

The ISCP Alumni are members of the Association of Canine Professionals (ACP). This is the accrediting arm of the ISCP, created to ensure that our members’ high standards continue after they have graduated from our courses. The ISCP has set up The Association of Canine Professionals for ISCP graduates who have achieved a merit or distinction on completion of their studies. These graduates can apply to become ISCP Alumni.

What is our purpose?

We have created the ACP for four reasons.

  1. To ensure as much as possible that graduates adhere to our high standards and ethos.

  2. To give further opportunities for ACP members to continue to expand on their education and experience in order to provide the best possible service to their clients.

  3. To prepare Alumni to apply for membership of reputable accrediting bodies.

  4. To offer opportunities for mentoring, coaching and support.
